About

Hope Fellowship Phase IV

NAAC launched the fourth phase of the Hope Fellowship Program in October 2009. The program was created to increase the leadership and management skills of women in decision-making positions in government institutions and civil society, thereby strengthening institutions and civil society actors. The program will have two components, a ten week training in Prishtina, Kosovo followed by a Washington, DC study tour, twice a year sending a class of ten fellows to Washington for six weeks. Each group will concentrate on a particular field such as: Education, Diplomacy & Democracy, Rule of Law, Economy, Energy and Health. The participants will come from various leadership positions in Kosovo within those fields.

The program will target women leaders between the ages of 25-45, throughout all sectors of society in Kosovo such as local and central Government, Kosovo’s Assembly, political parties, civil society and the private sector. Special attention and effort will be made to include women leaders from ethnic minorities.
